Remake of a psychological indie horror game

A House for Alesa Remake is a free adventure game for PC by indie developer A. V. Dossow. This is a remake of the first release of the creator's popular psychological horror series of the same name. It tells the story of a social worker assigned to a new case wherein child neglect is suspected.

Indie classic remade

Building upon the core of the original game, A House of Alesa Remake comes with enhanced graphics, character designs, and animation for better visuals overall. It retains the core narrative with some improvements and new cutscenes, areas to explore, and puzzles to solve. The Art Gallery feature and collectible card collection also have some nice additions.

Most interesting of all, the game now has more endings to unlock, which now has a total of eight possible outcomes to the story. This particular one comes as great news for new and returning fans alike since a single playthrough is on the short side. It now serves as the best way to experience the original in all its glory.

The definitive experience

Whether it's your first time playing it or a returning fan to see what changed, A House For Alesa Remake is now the definitive experience for the first game in the series. It pretty much received updates/upgrades across the board, and all for the better. Suffice it to say, this gets an easy recommendation.

PROS

  • Enhanced visuals
  • Additional collectibles
  • More possible endings
